Hi Bob
instead of putting the return chute on the bottom shower tray, could you not build it to the side of your grow on pond then glass over it,then simply stand the shower above it.
cheers Dave.

hi James The water would flow through the camber the same as it would in any other settlement chamber. the air uplifts are like small b/drains in the deeper end of the chamber with a 1.5 inch pipe that goes to waste coming from each, with a air stone inside the pipe, going into a trough that goes to w...

Hi Gazza The water is great mate, tds 100,kh3,ph7.2. Bob the settlement chamber idea was just one i was bouncing around in my head.i know the volume, flow rates etc are different, but if it works in the stream-flow ponds i see no reason for it not to work in a settlement chamber. i have the b/drains si...

hi Bob. if you where to bench your settlement chamber along the length of the chamber, making the shallow end the end the water enters the chamber, the deeper end the end that the water exits to your filters could you not put some air uplifts in the deeper end,the same as they do on the stream-flow po...

hi Bob
top job, where did you get the bin from that the static k is in?i have static placed in the vortex on my skimmer line, but any uneaten pellets get onto the static k and i have to pick them out after i have flushed it.
so looks like i may do a remodel of the poeazy.
cheers Dave.

hi chi
it is slightly less than i figured as 1min 20 secs is equal to 1.33 mins not the 1.2min as i used in the first equation, but it still equals 240gpd I'm more than happy with that :o .
cheers Dave.

hi gazza
just finished fitting it now.
seems a great bit of kit for the price, can't fault it.the pond TDS is 260,the water into the unit has a tds of 230 the output water has a tds of 1 so seems to be working well.
cheers Dave.

hi chi thanks for the advice. i do have a pagoda above the pond with a polycrab roof,i find the black weed proof membrane work well for shading in the summer months, before the summer i will be extending the pagoda into a fish house to totally enclose the pond as we have a 18 month old daughter.i fee...

hi
interesting observation this.
i have no uv on my system but i have noticed a 20 point rise in my orp from the day(320) to the night(340)has anyone else noticed this?
could be down to photosynthesis in the daylight hours or could be down to no feed going in at night?
cheers Dave.

hi i think a high flow rate through the filters is a large contributing factor to obtaining a high ORP,on my 5000gal pool, i run around 9000gph through showers, around 2000gph through static k1 on the skimmer.my ORP stays around 320.this is with no settlement on the showers, plus no UV. i would say th...
