What the hell is your neighbour doing booking a structural engineer to check something on YOUR property? Tell him to stick it, it doesn't sound like he's going to be a good neighbour anyway. Incidentally my pond is just over 2000G, base is 4" concrete, walls are 4" blocks on edge and it ha...

Hi all Just an observation on the coloured/clear water theories. It's well known in angling that fish in coloured water are paler than fish that live in clear water. For instance carp in a crystal clear lake tend to be very dark, in coloured water they are significantly paler, the same applies to Te...

I'll definitely be in for a few of these visits, this ones just a bit too soon after xmas, especially ...

This is hooked up to a tiny 5 watt extractor fan which blows the air outside. Now none of the vapour gets into the room as the tent is under n...

No.2 for me too. You won the lottery or something Del, buying the house next door to build a 16000G pond in the garden then buying up all these great fish!

Cracking pond and fish mate, keep the pictures coming :D

Hi I pump water straight from my QT over 2 showers, I have a layer of the filter wool stuff on top of the media in the top box, this definitely works as the K1, Bio balls and Jap mat in the boxes below stays very clean and there's no fines in my water. The filter wool does need changing every week o...
