Powering the pond

I'm finally going to be able to build the pond but the only problem is cost. I'm just trying to find some sort of way of cutting down on costs but spending as little as possible. If anybody had any ideas it would be appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Just getting started.

That makes sense, Bob. But the transfer and exit pipes is a bit confusing, I'm not quite sure what they are.

Thanks

Re: Just getting started.

Thanks, Bob. I'm definitely going to invest in a heater to maintain temperatures in the winter and to stop the pond icing over.I'll probably be filling one barrel full of static and one of areated (if this would be enough?). I know a guy who has kept Koi succesfuly for a number of years and has a po...

Re: Just getting started.

My own easys? That sounds interesting. I was thinking of filling a spare container I had with K1 and then using a filter I'm having made as the main filtration.

Re: Just getting started.

Well, it's been a while since I posted but I didn't build the pond this summer because alot of things happened, the pond build wasn't going to happen but now I just can't keep my mind off it so I'm hoping to get planning done for the next few months and start construction around new year. I've decid...

Re: Eazy pod

I just had a thought, instead of buying 2 vortex. I have an tank which I was going to use for a filter anyway so if I got 2 round bins and linked the bins and the tank together would this work? Here is a diagram.

Re: Eazy pod

I'll keep my eye open then, is K1 good as the only source of filtration?

breeding koi

I'm not thinking of breeding Koi yet, as I need a pond first but I'm just curios about it. What filtration do you have on the setups? What do you feed? etc. If possible could you post some pics of your setups.

Thanks
