Simply Koi and More Koi

well finally after all the rubish weather my pond is filling with water, :D :D all i can do is thank yorkie.. he has done start to finish blocks, render, glass etc.. A job well done, :!: I just need to save some more dough to finish the filter house and decided what capping stones and render colour ...

going to put the ropey ones in for a couple of days....
then the decent ones...

got a few quid to spend on fish at koi waterlife centre so will be able to get a few nice ones....

Cheers gazza. Hi dan. Drew reckons the 2.2 will still be ok but I think I will go for the 4.4 just to be safe. Glad the fish are good I think I will lose mine in there. I'm having a shed built at the end for a filter house. Yorkie has some ideas but thinks japanesse style I would appreciate any pics...

gazza,, ive decided on an ultrasieve 3 and an 2.2 auqadine,, its going to be gas heated and air stones for oxygen... i didnt mix it myself. it took about 9 tons off a lorry... but then yorkie and hes lad worked they nuts off barrowing it in... i didnt post the pic of my damm dog going for a stroll i...

thanks for the advise guys ..... im going to go for two bottom drains in case there is ever a problem with one...
like you say the more air the better...

cant wait to enjoy the koi instead of fixing pipework or filters .....

i didnt have.. i was going to have two normal bottom drains but have spoken to a few people on here and they all have said go with one airated drain... does this have to be dead central or can it be slightly up one end... im abit worried about the ripples and being able to see the fish........

ive been advised to have two bottom drains and ive bought them now i just need to work out weather to have two filter systems or work something else out..
didnt think of the skimmer filter but good idea.. bloody fish better be greatfull ..lol
