Re: Nexus 300 probs
Koimod, dealer had experienced a similar problem himself and it worked for him, seemed a simple fix to me thats all. Mine doesn't have any blockage, I did find that raising the air tube slightly in the affected area did enable it to start bubbling so maybe it's not quite level. Never checked that as...

Re: Nexus 300 probs
I don't really know what you mean by that Mike. My 200 has an air tube that I just connect to my air pump using a plastic connector. The boots on mine are for connecting 2" and 4" water pipe to the filter.Michaelb wrote:how do you connect your air tube to the boot ?

Re: Nexus 300 probs
Michael, taking media out isn't going to make any difference if the air tube isn't bubbling all the way round which is what I think is happening, my 200 is the same. Try reaching down to the tube if you can and feel round for the holes and I bet you are going to find that there's no air coming out w...

Re: Nexus 300 probs
I have a similar problem with my 200 in that the K1 doesn't bubble on one side even though the air pump output is above the minimum spec required. I have spoken to a dealer for advice and his opinion is that EA may have made too many holes in the air pipe so that all the air escapes from the holes n...

Re: Extra filtration for holding tank
Thanks B Scott. Have decided to press the Nexus into service, so the next decision is how best to do it. I have a 2" BD into the integrated filter then 1.5" pipes from the pump back to the tank. Ideally I want to gravity feed the Nexus from the integrated filter so the water has passed thr...

Extra filtration for holding tank
I moved house a few months ago and have my few small fish in a Shoreham Fibreglass tank ~ 450 gallons currently just running their standard integrated filter box which is mostly jap matting. I am a bit concerned that this isn't going to be sufficient until the pond eventually gets built (probably ne...

Re: Nitrite testing
Having now found digital nitrite test meters, I will rephrase my question.... Does anyone know of a digital nitrite test meter that doesn't cost a small fortune? Her indoors isn't going to let me remortgage the house to buy one of those Hanna ones, so it looks like I will have to continue messing ar...

Nitrite testing
Being a bit of a gadget boy and getting fed up with counting drips of reagent into my nitrite test kit's test tube, does anyone know if there is any sort of meter for testing? I have meters for temperature, pH & TDS, and having looked around on the internet so far I haven't seen anything for nit...
