the black container is a sump for a water feature these can be bought separate for around a tenner then i cut slots in it all the way around and on the bottom with a router took a while but worth it i then used speedfit plastic pipe to make air ring in the bottom of the sump this makes it easy to cl...

my sequence pump has been getting rather noisy and on sunday finally stopped and thanks to this post a quick stripdown and a phone call on monday morning to simplybearings and new part ordered plus one for a spare. arrived today and pump rebuilt and back on the pond great service from them thanks ag...

hi great job so far could you cover the slot and have a 3 or 4" pipe through instead going into the middle of the vortex with a 90 elbow and a short pipe coming up from this that is slotted then you could do as i do and insert a plunger into the pipe when cleaning k1. just a thought hope it hel...

crystal clear water can see everything 5 foot down :D

they are all of the same bottom drain ie vortex then first chamber then second chamber so do you think if the easy in the vortex is removing most of the fines then i should fluidise the second chamber.
then that leaves me to decide what to put in the third chamber any thoughts :?:

thanks gazza i have 25ltrs of k1 in just hoping ive got enough slots in it. i also have about 75ltrs in second chamber but needs more this will also be static then i need to do 3rd chamber this will be fluid fingers crossed should run fine i hope. ive seen dave arnolds setup and its given me a bette...

thanks bob got it from local aquatic/garden centre.
it's a water feature sump minus top grid found it by chance walking past
only cost £8.99 :wink:
not to deep but wide just what i wanted.

hi you need to leave render until completley dry and then i would get a pro such as dave a in to fiberglass as i did buget on about £20 per square metre then add 20% for overlapps etc. its a really messy job hope this helps
